Trust
Private by design, secure by default.
SlashFeed is built so your reading stays yours. No advertising profile, modern account security, encryption where it matters, and your data exportable or deletable at any time.
What protects you
The essentials, done right.
No ads, no tracking
There is no advertising model and no behavioural profile. We never sell your data or share it with data brokers. You pay for a reader, not with your attention.
Passkeys & 2FA
Passwordless magic-link sign-in, passkeys (WebAuthn), and TOTP two-factor authentication. Pick the level of protection that suits you.
Encrypted in transit & at rest
TLS everywhere, encrypted storage, and sensitive third-party credentials (like read-later tokens) encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
Fetch feeds privately
Optionally route feed fetches over Tor, so publishers can't tie the feeds you follow back to your instance.
Export & delete anytime
Export your subscriptions as OPML whenever you want, and delete your account and its data from your settings — no support ticket required.
No lock-in
RSS, Atom, JSON Feed, Fever, Miniflux, and OPML mean you can leave as easily as you arrived. Open source and fully self-hostable today.
Self-host everywhere
Deploy on your own server with Docker Compose, Kubernetes, or build from source. Your data never leaves hardware you control.
FAQ
Security questions
Do you sell or share my data?
No. SlashFeed has no ads and builds no advertising profile. We never sell your data or share it with data brokers — you pay for a reader, not with your attention.
How do I sign in securely?
SlashFeed supports passwordless magic-link sign-in, passkeys (WebAuthn), and two-factor authentication (TOTP). You choose the level that suits you.
Is my data encrypted?
Traffic is served over TLS, data is stored on encrypted disks, and sensitive third-party credentials (e.g. read-later tokens) are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
Can I export or delete everything?
Yes. Export your subscriptions as OPML any time, and delete your account and associated data from your settings — no email tickets required.
Can SlashFeed fetch feeds without revealing my interests?
Optionally, yes: feed fetches can be routed over Tor so publishers don't see a direct link between your instance and the feeds you follow.
Can I run SlashFeed on my own server?
Yes. SlashFeed ships Docker Compose, Kubernetes, and build-from-source guides. Deploy on any Linux box, VPS, or cluster — your reading data stays on hardware you own.
